The purpose was to present a united front of civil society organizations (CSOs) for the consideration of their recommendations in the preparation of the United Nations Summit on Food Systems.
One of the courses of action is to promote equitable means of subsistence. In detail, it will contribute to the eradication of poverty by proving full and productive employment and decent work for all actors in the food value chain, reducing risks for the world’s poorest people, promoting entrepreneurship, and ending inequalities in access to resources and value distribution. This course of action also aims to improve the resilience of producer organizations through social protection so that food systems do not leave anyone behind.
